BIOGRAPHY
I am a member of the International Feltmakers Association,
Associate Member of the Society of Designer Craftsmen
A member of the Embroiderers Guild
'
Although I love all forms of embroidery and feltmaking, my particular passion is for making my own fabrics. These I construct from pure silk fibres, including mulberry, tussah, textured silks and, more recently, a variety of fleece and locks. I combine these with my love of machine embroidery and lace, and although the resulting pieces often look fragile and slightly "antique" they are extremely strong. Each piece is totally unique - it is impossible to replicate!
The technique I have developed is constantly evolving with every piece I make, and I learn something new every time - this is why I love it so much and it absorbs me totally
