| I love making fabrics and feltmaking is my particular passion.
I construct from pure silk fibres, including mulberry, tussah, textured silks and, more recently, a variety of fleece and locks.
. I combine these with my love of machine embroidery and lace, and although the resulting pieces often look fragile and slightly "antique" they are extremely strong.
Each piece is totally unique - it is impossible to replicate!
The technique I have developed is constantly evolving with every piece I make, and I learn something new every time - this is why I love it so much and it absorbs me totally.
The last picture has been kindly lent by Nicole Manier, the couturier. Nicole often commissions work from me and it was so exciting to walk along a fashionable Fitzrovia street and see my work in the window - a real thrill!
